Drifting?

Have you ever lost complete Interests in one of your friends? Currently I'm having a bit of a falling out with one of what used to be my best friends, and she isn't even aware of it.

I'd rather not mention names simply for the sake of, I have no clue who's reading this. So I'll just continue the story without names.

It began sort of recently when she started to neglect another friend and me for her other friends. Now by all means, have all the friends in the world! It's great to be social and have a lot of friends, I wish I was like that sometimes, but don't ignore your friends you've had for YEARS for someone else. She has a whole other group of friends outside of our group and I think that's wonderful, but when you want to hang out with them and say you're "too busy" for us, that's where I draw the line. It may sound selfish, but I don't want to be someone's second choice. I don't want to be the rebound when your other friends aren't around to talk to. Can you really call yourself a "Best Friend" when you ignore me in class for another friend, and only talk to me when she's talking to someone else?

And all while this is happening she has no clue I'm upset. I'm trying to avoid drama all together, high school has enough of it already, but if this continues any longer I'm going to have to speak up.

I could continue on much longer but considering I'm not sure who will read this, I'd rather stop before it's too obvious who I'm taking about.

The reason I wanted to share this was because I honestly just needed to vent. But, I was also curious if anyone has gone through anything similar? Or am I just overreacting?

Either way I think friends should remain friends no matter what, who else is around shouldn't affect it.

Dying Hair!

Hey everyone! So it's currently 1am but what's a better time to write a blog post? Today, or I suppose yesterday? (10pm) I helped my friend Zoe dye the tips of her hair red! It actually turned out quite nice, so I thought I'd make a post sharing how we did it!

1. We bought two different colors, Wildfire and Rock N' Roll Red, both the brand Manic Panic. (They were both about $10 each at Sally's Beauty Supply)
We also purchased a bowl to mix the dye, and rubber gloves. I spent a total of approximately $25.

2. In two separate bowls, we mixed each color with a small amount of conditioner. (We used the conditioner Zoe already owned, Tresemme)

3. Her hair is already blonde, so there was no need to bleach. We separated her hair into 4 sections, tying them into pony tails, the hair-tie at the top of where she wanted the color to begin.

4. I applied Wildfire from the hair-tie down to the end of her hair. Making sure it's through the hair thoroughly as we didn't want her natural hair in the middle of all the bright color.

5. After Wildfire was on each section of hair, we began with the next color. Starting about an inch from the hair-tie on down to the end, we applied Rock N' Roll Red (My personal favorite )

6. Once the second color was applied to all sections of the hair, we put each piece in aluminum foil.

7. The dye said to keep it in for 30 minutes, but as she wanted it to be more vibrant, she left it in for an hour.

8. In the mean time, we also did a strip of Wildfire in both her little sisters hair and her sister's friend's. (That step you can of course skip, just thought I'd share that that's how we wasted time)

9. After an hour was up, I helped her rinse out the dye with cold water.

10. Once it was rinsed out, I blow-dryed
Her hair, then straightened it. (We read the heat helps the color lock in, I can't promise that because her hair has only been dyed for a few hours, but I will update you.)

Overall, the both of us think Manic Panic is a wonderful product and the two colors we chose are both gorgeous and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to dye their hair with a low budget.

Inspiratons

I realized after publishing my first post that I forgot to share something. What inspires me. There are a lot of things and people that give me inspiration. Whether it's someone I know, someone I want to know, or maybe even a quote I find on tumblr. So, I thought since I wanted to put some basic stuff about me on my blog, my inspirations would be a good route to take.

My Family. They're great, and I love them more than anything in the world. Yes, we have our differences. However, I couldn't wish for better parents to raise me, and brothers to fight with. My family (especially my dad's) is extremely musical, so I suppose that's where I get that from. Every time my family is together a guitar is out, and the whole house is singing. That's the way I like it.

My Friends. You literally have no idea how lucky I am in this subject. There are plenty of people I talk to a lot, but I have four specific, amazing best friends. Kaylee, Zoe (ZombiZo), Chloe, and Zaida. Zoe, Chloe, and Zaida are all friends I go to school with, though we do go to each others houses quite often. We've been friends for years and I plan on that continuing much much longer. Kaylee is my neighbor, and my best friend of currently 6 years (and hopefully many more to come). I'm at her house as much as I am my own, and her family treats me like one of their own. My friends are amazing people who I've been with for years and now that I think about it, we've never once fought. We have more inside jokes then I can remember, and can make each other laugh without even thinking about it. They're my favorite people in the world, and I love each one of them from the bottom of my heart.

Carrie Underwood. Yes, we're getting a little less sentimental, I know. But, Carrie Underwood is just too amazing for me to not mention. As i previously said, I love to sing. Well, if I could have anyone's voice it would be, without a doubt, Carrie Marie Underwood. I've watched American Idol since the show began when I was one, and don't really remember before around season 5-6. That being said, I don't remember a time where I didn't love Carrie. But as I got older I started to hear more of what she was saying rather than just her amazing vocals. All her songs tell a story, some of them tear-jerking, and that's the way I feel music should be. She's also a wonderful person. She created the C.A.T.S Foundation, and supports The Humane Society of The United States. I can only hope to one day make such an impact.

Zoe Sugg. (aka Zoella). I've watched Zoe's youtube channel since I was 12, and began reading her blog early last year. Needless to say, she is the reason I started this blog. Zoe taught me everything I know about makeup, and is one of the reasons I'm so incredibly fond of beauty. She makes wonderful content and I can't stop watching her videos and reading her posts to save my life. (No wonder she just hit 7 million subscribers) I've wanted a youtube channel for an extremely long time, but sadly don't quite have the confidence for it. But maybe some day.

There are plenty of people I didn't mention, simply because I was rambling far too much. Among these people are 5 Seconds of Summer, Little Mix, and Megan and Liz. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I felt it was the best way to do each person justice. Links to people mentioned will be down below.

15 Facts About Me

Hi everyone! This is my first blog post and I'll admit, I'm a tiny bit anxious. I'd like to start off by sharing why I'm starting this blog, I don't expect a lot of people to read this. My goal is solely to express my opinions, thoughts, and feelings. Maybe some of you will enjoy it on the way. So I might as well let you know a little bit about who I am. Here we go.
1. My name is Mackenzie, or Mack. (If you payed the slightest bit of attention to my url, you should probably know that.)

2. I'm YouTube obsessed. No, that doesn't mean I go online and watch cat videos. I'm literally subscribed to over 30 people I watch regularly, and know what day each of them update.

3. My favorite show is Chuck. I know what you're thinking, what the heck is Chuck? Well, I'm not going to spend time telling you about it because you might think I'm crazy, but if you like super awesome funny action shows, watch it.

4. I'm obsessed with more bands than I'd like to admit. If you're interested in who, I'll list a few below:
-5 Seconds Of Summer (they're my life)
-Little Mix
-All Time Low
-Bon Jovi
-Journey

5. I'm obsessed with Chuck Taylor's. Why? I'm not quite sure. But nonetheless, they're the only shoes I've worn for the past 3 years.

6. I. Love. Superheroes. The Avengers is amazing, and I'm patiently waiting for the sequel. However, Spider-Man will forever be my favorite.

7. My favorite people in the world are my best friends. (One of which has a blog; Check her out, she's the bomb. Zombizo.blogspot.com )

8. Besides Music, YouTube, and amazing tv shows, I love art with a passion. I draw constantly and love to paint. (Though I haven't quite mastered a paintbrush yet.)

9. I'm almost always singing. If you've met me, I can almost guarantee that you've heard me sing. I'm not saying I'm good at it, I just do it a lot.

10. I'm currently learning piano, guitar, and my personal favorite: drums. In fact, my favorite Christmas present this year was a Cajon. (For those of you who don't know, that's an acoustic drum, that you play while sitting on top of it)

11. My favorite food is chicken. Fried chicken. Grilled chicken. Baked chicken. Rotisserie chicken. Chicken nuggets. Chicken sandwich. The list goes on..

12. I'm already regretting number 11. I'm now hungry and have nothing to eat besides burnt popcorn.

13. This is because my friend (previously mentioned) took the non-burnt popcorn.

14. These facts are getting noticeably less detailed considering it currently 11:18 pm, and I'm sitting on my bed eating burnt popcorn.

15. I've run out of ideas so I'm gonna end it here.

That was quite a mess, but I suppose I am too.
